About Gekko Systems

Gekko was co-founded in 1996 by husband and wife team, Sandy Gray and Elizabeth Lewis-Gray, in Avoca, Victoria, Australia.

Gekko started out producing for continuous . Yet growing demand for devices spurred Gekko to re-invent and advance traditional processing flowsheets.

Innovative modular designs, elegant systems and smart manufacturing launched Gekko as a world in processing and low-energy mining solutions.

Gekko’s History

1995

May

Applied for Research and Development Grant to develop the InLine Pressure Jig for hard rock applications.

1996

January

Gekko Opens for Business.

1996

September

Made first sale of InLine Pressure Jig to Boral Resources.

1997

September

Trialled InLine Leach Reactor successfully

1999

January

Rebranded as Gekko Systems (from original name, Ground Devlopments)

2000

March

Opened Johannesburg Office (RSA) to service mining companies on the African Continent.

2002

March

Opened Vancouver Office (Canada) to service mining companies in Canada and North America

2004

October

Received $1.2m R&D Grant and commenced project on underground processing systems

2006

December

Received the Mineral Processing Plant of the Year award for Ballarat Goldfields plant.

2007

June

Received Innovation Hero award

2008

October

Received the Minerals processing Plant of the Year award for CRG Python Plant.
