The Challenge
Blythe Dale Sand and Gravel of Ontario Canada, were looking at ways in which they could increase opportunities for new contracts and work. One key area was any work which required a certified weight reading (such as municipal contracts).
Investigating options which would allow them to offer certified scale readings led them to weigh bridges. At around $80,000 to install and then extra to staff the station, the cost was prohibitive as they were also operating multiple sites.
