Divestment Geoscience Division Completed

The acquisition of the Geofor Group and Earth Resources combined with the establishment and opening of new offices in Africa ( Angola, Mozambique, Tanzania and Uganda) strengthens Fugro’s presence and leadership position in Africa.

In addition, further acquisitions include Roames in Australia and RailData in the Netherlands.

Fugro completes the divestment of the majority of the Geoscience division to CGG and establishes the Seabed Geosolutions joint-venture with CGG.

Celebration 50th anniversary

In May 2012 Fugro celebrates its 50th anniversary.

In September 2012 Fugro and CGG announce that they have signed an agreement under which CGG will acquire the majority of Fugro’s Geoscience division.

The active acquisition policy continues: in total nine companies are acquired. The most important ones are TSMarine (Australia), De Regt Marine Cables (Netherlands) and Ocean Bottom Nodes (Norway).

Fugro takes delivery of its new generation geophysical and hydrographic survey vessel Fugro Galaxy.
