Brine Ponds

Liquified petroleum gas (LPG) has been stored in underground salt domes since 1951. LPG is moved in or out of storage depending upon market demand. The product is displaced from the storage wells with salt-saturated brine. In turn, the brine solution must be stored in safe, secure ponds lined with in order to protect the environment.
