Panalpina flies UNICEF Ebola relief to Sierra Leone

In an act of goodwill, Panalpina has joined forces with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) to support the world’s ongoing fight against the Ebola crisis, which has so far ravaged thousands of families and communities across West Africa. Sierra Leone is currently the most affected country.
Transporting life-saving humanitarian aid, and overcoming the challenges that come with the task, is something Panalpina is all too familiar with. During last year’s festive period, in partnership with UNICEF, Panalpina donated a charter flight to help deliver 100 tons of essential supplies to the Central African Republic.
In the early hours this morning, a similar Panalpina flight took off from Luxembourg; this time the freighter plane was headed for Freetown, Sierra Leone, carrying almost 80 tons of vital supplies and equipment destined for community care centers in the Ebola-affected region.
