ChipperACD

ANDRITZ chipper ACD includes sensors for bearing housings and gearboxes. The data from the sensors is collected in a data analysis processor, which performs diagnostics based on available data.

Chipper ACD helps improve chipper availability and reduce unplanned stoppages. It can detect most of the foreign material in the operation and provides accurate information about chipper knife wear. Thus, operators can optimize knife-changing intervals and improve chip quality.

Chipper ACD has a number of features to monitor chipper operations, including:

• Detection of foreign material hitting the disk
• Knife contact detection
• Knife wearing index calculation
• Bearing diagnostics
