SMART, System Monitoring and Reporting Technology, is a wireless cloud-based system using sensors and monitors throughout a scrap yard to provide real-time reporting on the efficiency of sorting equipment and processes. SMART sensors help operators track yard performance and take short and long-term corrective action.SMART system currently monitors three areas:

- – reports fouled splitters on separators
- – monitors both ferrous and non-ferrous metals in fluff stream
