HSE Performance

Fluor is committed to continually improving our health and safety practices and procedures, and to enhancing training on specific preventive actions. Fluor sustained its strong safety record in 2013.

Fluor’s office and field performance represented 394 million self-perform and subcontractor work hours. In those hours, Fluor experienced a slight decline in the Total Recordable Case Incidence Rate from 2012 and a slight increase in the Days Away, Restricted, or Transferred Rate per 200,000 global work hours worked. The Total Recordable Case Incidence Rate was 0.30 in 2013 and the Days Away, Restricted, or Transferred Incidence Rate was 0.13.

Successfully managing health and safety issues to the lowest possible risk levels is an essential component of strategy and integral to the way Fluor does business. Fluor continues to be recognized as one of the safest contractors in the engineering and construction industry, and we thoroughly evaluate any cases that occur to immediate identify areas for improvement.
