Duck Pond is a copper and zinc mine located in central Newfoundland, approximately 100 kilometres southwest of the city of Grand Falls-Windsor. The mine achieved commercial production in April 2007. Differential flotation produces copper and zinc concentrates, which are trucked to the port of St. Georges on the west coast of Newfoundland. Copper and zinc concentrates produced at the mine are sold under concentrate sales agreements to smelters in North America and overseas.

As planned in the original feasibility study, Duck Pond transitioned to open pit mining in 2013 for the remainder of the mine life. Current deposits being mined are expected to be exhausted in the first half of 2015, and the mine will be permanently closed in July 2015.
