Dry Freight

Our dry freight team supports the Metals and Minerals division with a chartering service to meet the international dry cargo requirements of the business. We also trade freight externally.

Around a third of our shipped tonnage is in dry commodities. We transport coal from West to East, iron ore from Australia to China and concentrates to Asia from South America.

We time-charter at least 35 bulk carriers for periods between 30 days and five years. We do about 635 dry fixtures annually. Our fleet includes Handysize, Supramax, Panamax, Capesize and very large bulk carriers.
