Material Expertise Network

The Corporate Research and Development Material (C-R&D MAT) department is REHAU’s global material expertise network. This is where the company pools its knowhow concerning the polymers, additives, paints and pigments used. Whilst a wide range of tests are conducted on materials and components in the associated central laboratories, the global network is primarily concerned with close cooperation with the decentralized CHEM departments in Asia, North America and other places where plants are located.

In addition, REHAU also conducts research into new material concepts in cooperation with University and institute partners. The focus of this work is on sustainable, environmentally sound material trends, e.g. renewable raw materials and new recycling concepts. With its fiber-reinforced materials, the polymer specialist is opening up new vistas in terms of lightweight construction and energy efficient system solutions.Contact:
