• ACCIONA purifies, treats, desalinates and manages water for over 70 million people in 20 countries.
• Since our founding, we have built around 400 water purification plants, over 100 drinking water purification plants and over 70 desalination plants.

Consumption Reduction Programme

• Reuse of 73% of the water consumed in the works sludge treatment plant for the tunnel construction boring process.
• Improved efficiency in the use of water in landscape services through the use of plants with limited demands for water.
• A 50% reduction in consumption of water for domestic use in Maritime Terminals.
• An 85% reduction in water needs in concrete manufacture.
• Replacement of the use of surface water for process cooling with purified waste water biomass plants.
• Identification and implementation of measures for saving water in solar thermal and biomass plants.
