As the Oil & Gas industry shifts offshore exploration to deeper waters, operators must protect assets to maximize their ROI. Sulfate Removal is important to ensure production well assets are protected and remain free of barium and strontium scale, which would precipitate if untreated seawater is injected. GE’s new membrane rejects sulfate and minimizes scale formation. This membrane can be retrofitted into existing systems or used in new systems. Additionally, GE offers membrane cleaning and process chemistries used on different platforms and FPSOs worldwide.
Sulfate Reducing Technologies
Prefiltration systems protect membrane systems by removing the suspended solids and larger impurities in seawater. GE specializes in both cartridge filtration and ultrafiltration for seawater applications. The right prefiltration system can reduce your operating costs and maintain efficiency of the NF membrane system.
