ACMA Approval
The Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) requires all cables that are intended for use on the customer side of a telecommunications network to comply to specific physical, electrical and labelling requirements provided in CA/ACIF S008.The labelling requirements are intended to ensure that the installer/end-user is informed about the compliance status of cabling products. S008 references the Telecommunications Labelling (Customer Equipment and Customer Cabling) Notice 2001 for the labelling details.
Pursuant to the Labelling Notice Part 2A, cabling products may be directly labelled, or they may be listed by the Supplier on a publicly available Register.
Therefore, compliant General Cable products which are not directly labelled are listed in the link below.
