Blanket For RTM

This is a blanket designed for any resin transfer process in closed molds, such as RTM, injection and vacuum, where it is necessary to mold complex pieces, cover large surfaces and make smooth finishing on both sides. This product consists of a synthetic nucleus, sawn with a polyamide thread between two layers of a cut glass fiber blanket, which enables to maintain the material’s integrity and compaction capacity. The moldable blanket is compatible with different kinds of resins, permits high contents of mineral load (35% of load in compression processes and up to 50% of load in injection processes), is easily and rapidly wetted. It produces pieces with different thicknesses (2 to 6 mm) and has an easy handling. The combination of these and other characteristics allows to save raw materials (one single blanket may have the same thickness as several fiber layers), processing time (being equal to wet one single fiber layer) and workers’ efforts, resulting in an increase of efficiency and productivity.
