HVO Reduces CO2

We are working tirelessly with alternative fuels and have a clear vision for sustainable transportation. One step towards this is our approval of HVO. This synthetic diesel reduces CO2 emissions by between 30 and 90 per cent, which is excellent for anyone wanting to shrink their environmental footprint.HVO (Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil) is produced from renewable raw materials such as vegetable and animal fats, rapeseed oil or abattoir waste, and it is the choice of raw material that determines the extent of emission reductions.We have tested HVO in six trucks with Euro 5 engines. Over a two-year period, these trucks covered approximately one million kilometres in commercial service and we can conclude that HVO works very well with our engines.A perfect partner to regular dieselBesides the considerable reduction in CO2 emissions, one major benefit is that HVO can be used under the same conditions as regular diesel and freely mixed with it. Moreover, since HVO can be distributed from the same depots, tanks and pumps as diesel, it is easy for drivers to choose it.
