ACCIONA is implementing an Environmental Offsetting Plan consisting of encouraging initiatives that go beyond the requirements for environmental offsetting of the impacts generated as a result of its operations.
These initiatives are making it possible for the Company to stand out in this regard and its effective commitment to Sustainability to become recognised. It has implemented measures to offset its CO2 emissions by performing carbon neutral events on its own and for clients and has developed a specific Biodiversity offsetting and improvement programme.
By means of the Biodiversity Offsetting and Improvement Programme, ACCIONA designs and executes offsetting mechanisms that promote a positive environmental footprint. These projects support endangered species and populations, serve to increase awareness regarding them and represent an improvement in their conservation, either by acting on their habitats, their reproductive parameters or other variables.
