Since wind energy is the Company’s main business, ACCIONA Energy holds stakes throughout the entire wind energy value chain, with activities in project development, engineering and construction, industrial-scale wind generator manufacturing, wind farm operation and maintenance and energy sales.

It owns renewables-based and cogeneration electricity generation assets totaling 8,211 MW, of which 84% are in wind power, 11% hydropower and the rest in solar power (CSP, photovoltaic and thermal), biomass and cogeneration, at 31 December, 2011. The company has also installed 1,555 MW for other customers, most of it in wind power (1,472 MW) and photovoltaic solar (67 MWp).
