Drillhole Module

The drillhole data you gather is essential to critical decision-making at each step of the exploration process. With GEMS, you can feel confident that your drillhole results are comprehensive and readily understood.

GEMS’ Drillhole Module allows you to:

• Create and edit new planned drillholes graphically.
• Create and edit new drillholes based on specific toe or collar positions, survey data, or existing data objects.
• Create multiple drillholes in fan or cone patterns based on defined offset parameters.
• Display drillhole data in a number of ways, helping you to identify significant patterns in drilling results.
• Filter drillhole data by a variety of criteria, then instantly display rendered traces or symbols in 3D, colour-coded to indicate the value at each interval, and annotated with text values and downhole distances.
• Easily generate a series of sectional or plan plots complete with legends, bar graphs, and topography.

This drillhole data is stored in an open relational database, in either a Microsoft Access or SQL Server format. At the centre of GEMS, this flexible database includes unlimited user-defined tables and fields, and allows other departments to easily access and utilise the data, extending the value of your drillhole investment.
