Inspect and Correct

The Inspect and Correct feature assists users to quickly find any errors that may exist in the operational data. This data will have already passed business rules and validation, and typically any errors would normally be hidden. This highly flexible and easy–to-use feature allows users to create various views of data and perform calculations on the different views to test the accuracy of the data and to make necessary corrections.

Variance Analysis

Variance analysis is InSite’s advanced reconciliation feature. It helps uers identify the cause of variance between planned and actual production. Geologists, mining engineers or plant staff can quickly drill down into the different recorded details of an activity to investigate the impact of compounding variance on different contributors such as employees, equipment, material types, and others. Variances occurring for any activity, can be seen easily via the “heat map”. The variance analysis module helps provide justification for making process improvements that make the plan more achievable next time.

MATERIAL BALANCE

With the Material Balance feature, mining operations can balance mass and grade from the run of mine stocks, plant or final saleable product back through all processes to the original source. Also, users can reduce variances between planned and actual production, mitigating future errors, and reducing production write-offs. This is achieved through “what-if” scenario analyses employed as month-end approaches, allowing possible issues with the balance to be identified; for example comparing truck factors to a weigh scale.
