Mill Pinion Gears

David Brown can manufacture high torque, high precision integral and non-integral mill pinions for SAG, horizontal ball mill and rotary kiln applications.

We can supply pinions individually or engineer them as part of a fully optimised ball mill, SAG or rotary kiln drive. David Brown mill pinions are manufactured double ended for reversible and extended operating life. The use of flexible David Brown couplings between the mill pinion and main drive unit ensures accurate alignment and extended operational life.

• Mill pinions designed and manufactured up to AGMA grade 12 accuracy (DIN/ISO grade 5) and up to 50 module
• Integral pinions are designed and manufactured up to 4 metres long, up to 50 module with a maximum gear face width of 1.2m.
• Profile and lead optimisation using latest design software and gear manufacturing equipment
• Mill pinions can be manufactured as integral with the shaft or non-integral (removable)
