Billions of people are moving to the world’s cities in search of better lives. Culture and creativity are helping create new urban opportunities and share them among entire populations.
The urgent appeal for blood donors went out on Facebook and a TV show called ‘Aamrai Bangladesh’ (We are Bangladesh). Within two weeks, 5 000 people had donated blood. It was a perfect example of the power of social media to do good.
