Using Ericsson expertise to develop one special Polish school

Our story with the in-hospital school at Children’s Memorial Health Institute in Warsaw started back in 2012 with an email from Monika Wójtowicz, who is responsible for fundraising for the school. But she didn’t actually ask us for funds. Instead she invited Ericsson to come and see how the school was running.
The hospital school hosts about 10,000 children per year, including children who are hospitalized for longer periods of time and come back regularly for repeat medical treatment. Like all schools in Poland, it did not have a digital register of the pupils. During our visit, we learned that managing the administration was becoming an impossible job.
