Simulador para predecir la generación y la producción de H2S relacionada con la inyección de vapor de agua.
Objetivos
This is a R&D project whose goal is to develop a simulation software able to predict quantitatively the generation and production of H2S associated with injection of water vapor.
Soluciones
The steam water injection is used as a process of enhanced oil recovery (EOR), but it can generate a large amount of undesirable products such as sulphide acid (H2S, or hydrogen sulfide) in a process called acidification (or souring). The H2S can cause many operational problems such as aggressive corrosion, health and environmental safety problemes, so therefore their generation should be minimized or remedied.
- Increased personnel security to produce a toxic gas;
- Reduced impact of corrosion in production equipments by hydrogen sulphide;
- Decrease of requests for H2S removal to meet the specifications for oil and gas exporting.
