- Pump barrel can also act as a gas stinger in gassy installations.
- Pump barrel hangs down from the top anchor, allowing the barrel to align itself in crooked, deviated or horizontal wells, making it favorable for long pumps.
- In the RWA pump, fluid is discharged immediately above the hold-down, keeping sand in the well from settling and preventing a stripping job.
- Cup or mechanical top hold-down except the 3.250" bore, which has a heavy-wall barrel.
