Closing the education achievement gap
Johnson Controls VP Trina Jashinsky supports organizations that help inner city schools improve academic performance
Trina Jashinsky is a vice president in the Johnson Controls global human resources department. She puts her business skills to work on behalf of a number of charitable and public service groups and activities.
Partnering with inner city schools
Jashinsky serves on the executive council of FUEL. FUEL is an initiative of the Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce designed to help area businesses attract and retain top talent. The council also partners with schools in support of a tutoring program that helps prepare young children for higher education, and eventually, the workforce. “There is definitely an education achievement gap in our city schools, and closing that gap is a priority of our group,” Jashinsky said.
