Johnson Controls VSD Series Variable Speed Drives are specifically engineered for Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning fan and pump applications. The power unit makes use of the most sophisticated semiconductor technology and a highly modular construction that can be easily adapted to customer needs. The VSD solution is easier to use and simpler to operate and install, thus reducing the cost of ownership for the end user. On board metering of electrical kWh information provides data useful in efficiency and billing calculations. The VSD is also the only drive in the industry that provides closed loop control capabilities with the Johnson Controls Metasys and Facility Explorer digital field controllers through the MS/TP BACnet Sensor/ Actuator (SA-Bus) communication bus while being monitored by the building automation system resulting in a lower total installed cost.
