In August 2010, Coil Tubing Services (CTS) joined Schlumberger through the merger with Smith International. CTS is the largest coiled tubing (CT) company on the Louisiana and Texas Gulf coast. In addition, services are offered in various other parts of the United States, including Alaska, and Canada. Operations are conducted offshore, in inland waters, and on land.

The Schlumberger North America CT services organization was combined with CTS under the name Coil Tubing Services, with access to the full resources of Schlumberger.
