Why Does Sodexo Engage?
Global climate change is real and impacting people around the world, including the countries and communities where we have our business. Reducing emissions linked to climate change is important for our clients, consumers, and communities as well as for the environment.
How Does Sodexo Engage?
In 2009 Sodexo established our commitment to reduce carbon emissions in our operations and at client sites by 2020. Through our partnership with WWF (World Wildlife Fund) Sodexo created a new methodology and is now able to calculate the carbon embedded in operations at our client sites and our supply chain with confidence. This information, along with our accomplishments to date, have allowed us to set the target for a 34% reduction.
We are aware of and working to reduce the community and business impacts associated with water scarcity.
