VAG-Armaturen Magyarország

In 1896, in the time of the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy, Bopp and Reuter and VAG opened a sales office in Vienna, to support the sale of VAG valves. From 1921 on, Bopp & Reuther owned an Austrian valve company, VAMAG, which was selling VAG products to Hungary until the end of World War II.

Since 1955, Vienna was the gateway to the East Bloc. VAG signed an Agency Agreement with the Vienna – based engineering company IPU for the GDR, Hungary, Poland, Czechoslovakia, Romania, and Bulgaria. The Water Works of Budapest, EGI and the Hungarian Power Stations where the major customers in Hungary, purchasing mainly VAG EKN® Butterfly Valves, hydraulic actuators, VAG RKV Plunger Valves (now VAG RIKO® Plunger Valves) and VAG DUOJET® Air Valves.
