Footprint Calculation

In order for Volvo Trucks customers and others to obtain facts and figures about how our trucks affect the environment, we have produced an Environmental Product Declaration. It is an online application containing information about materials, energy consumption, emissions and so on, enabling you to calculate the environmental impact of the production, usage or end life of a Volvo truck – or its complete lifecycle.

The basis for calculationsA list of materials, equivalent to those used in a Volvo FH or Volvo FM 4×2 tractor, is used as the basis for the footprint calculations. The calculations include material production from the extraction of the raw materials to the manufacture of the materials used both in our suppliers’ plants and in our own production plants in Europe.
