When the machines simply have to get there in time or odd-dimension cargo has to be delivered, you have a tough job at hand. Special cargo and heavy haulage means you need a strong engine, regardless of the distance. But you also need a durable transmission and a robust chassis. Handling combination weights of over 60 tonnes safely also requires a driveline with lots of low register torque and massive power. So there simply is no substitute for the Volvo FH and Volvo FM.
