Tip Sheet Brazilian Shipping Delays

As the FIFA World Cup is coming up in Brazil, World Courier would like to share with you details of expected operational and logistic impacts during the period of the event. This document aims to provide a contingency plan for the period between June 12th and July 13th, 2014.

Table of Games

• Rio de Janeiro: June 15th, 18th, 22nd, 24th, 28th and July 4th and 13th
• São Paulo: June 12th

• Personnel responsible for issuing fiscal documentation (Nota Fiscal) are not working
• A pickup is required for a domestic shipment with delivery expected in a city impacted by World Cup games (in this case, World Courier staff will recommend postponing the pick-up, whenever this is possible)
• Pickups or deliveries are in areas near the São Paulo stadium, as the traffic is expected to be very heavy
