The results are in – and signal a promising future for energy efficiency. The of facility and energy management executives shows nearly across-the-board improvements that confirm interest and investment in energy efficiency is growing.

While many of these indicators have increased steadily over the past years, the growth from 2013 to 2014 is significant.

Here’s the 3 big findings:

More than half of the respondents rated energy management as being extremely important to their organization with two-thirds planning to increase investment in energy efficiency and renewable energy next year.

High performance buildings and workspaces are becoming mainstream

• Have budget responsibility for their organizations’ facilities.
• Have duties that include reviewing or monitoring energy usage or proposing/approving initiatives to make those facilities more efficient.
