Galore Creek

The Galore Creek project is located in north western British Columbia, approximately 150 kilometres north-west of Stewart.

In August 2007, a 50/50 partnership was formed with NovaGold Resources Inc. to develop the Galore Creek deposit, one of the world’s largest undeveloped copper and gold deposits.

Due to escalating cost estimates and a longer-than-anticipated construction schedule, development activities were suspended in November 2007.

In 2008, studies were initiated to re-evaluate and optimize the project by defining a more realistic and lower risk development alternative, including alternative plant site and tailings locations.

A small technical work program at Galore Creek was conducted in 2014 to incorporate the results of previous drilling activity and engineering studies. There is no significant field activity planned for 2015.
