Cardinal River

Teck’s Cardinal River operation is located approximately 42 kilometres south of Hinton, Alberta.

Cardinal River produces primarily steelmaking coal. The current annual production capacities of the mine and preparation plant are approximately 2.0 and 3.0 million tonnes of clean coal, respectively.

Proven and probable reserves at Cardinal River are projected to support mining for a further 11 years.
