AquabeltThe principle of the ABCT Aquabelt concept is to condition the feed sludge with a synthetic polyelectrolyte and drain the flocculated sludge over an endless horizontal porus filter belt, before inducing further thickening using a patented ramp device. The thickened sludge is then transported away from the ABCT allowing the filter belt to return via a continuous wash station.

APPLICATIONS
A wide range of dilute sludges or slurries are encountered in many industrial and municpal processes. The Ashbrook Simon-Hartley ABCT is used to thicken biological and inorganic sludges prior to a down stream process such as sludge digestion, further dewatering or before tankering for subsequent disposal or recycling. Applications include:
