Professional Profile
- Undergraduate degree in civil or geologic engineering, with post graduate education in geotechnical engineering ;
- 15+ years of engineering experience and technical leadership
- Ability to lead geotechnical projects from proposal submission from site investigation to design and finally into construction monitoring;
- Has developed and maintained good working relationships with clients, government agencies, sub-consultants and geotechnical contractors in Canada and internationally;
- Familiarity with the mining, power generation and/or infrastructure development industries;
- Ability to present, prepare and review reports; and
- Advanced understanding of geotechnical engineering requirements in some of the following sectors:
- Soil mechanics and foundation engineering for heavy civil discipline projects;
- Slope stability assessment and design of reinforcement structures
- Earthworks design and technical specification preparation;
- Seismic analysis
- Nearshore and Offshore Marine Geotechnical;
- Appreciation of the fundamentals of engineering geology, hydrogeology, hydrology, terrain mapping and geohazards assessment;

- Manage projects and design teams to ensure objectives for project deliverables, budget and schedule are met and client expectations are fulfilled
- Maintain your own technical proficiency and participate in maintaining the technical proficiency of the other geotechnical engineering staff
- Participate in the management, administration, assignment and supervision of staff
- Monitor staff project work; in particular, focusing on geotechnical engineering design quality
- Participate in performance reviews and staff planning, including determining staff requirements and recruitment needs
- Participate in the assessment and determination of requirements for training and/or educational programs
