Senior Geotechnical (Foundations/Civil Design) Engineer

Professional Profile

• Undergraduate degree in civil or geologic engineering, with post graduate education in geotechnical engineering ;
• 15+ years of engineering experience and technical leadership
• Ability to lead geotechnical projects from proposal submission from site investigation to design and finally into construction monitoring;
• Has developed and maintained good working relationships with clients, government agencies, sub-consultants and geotechnical contractors in Canada and internationally;
• Familiarity with the mining, power generation and/or infrastructure development industries;
• Ability to present, prepare and review reports; and
• Advanced understanding of geotechnical engineering requirements in some of the following sectors:
• Soil mechanics and foundation engineering for heavy civil discipline projects;
• Slope stability assessment and design of reinforcement structures
• Earthworks design and technical specification preparation;
• Seismic analysis
• Nearshore and Offshore Marine Geotechnical;
• Appreciation of the fundamentals of engineering geology, hydrogeology, hydrology, terrain mapping and geohazards assessment;
