GEA has been pioneering emission control systems since we built our first electrostatic precipitator (ESP) for removing particle-bound pollutants in 1913.

Today we are a full-system supplier for industrial gas cleaning, including planning, commissioning and maintenance. Worldwide we have supplied more than 15,000 gas cleaning systems to iron and steel, non-ferrous metal, glass and cement, as well as chemical industries and fluid catalytic cracking plants in refineries.Our unique spray drying absorption process – originally developed in the 1970s – has been adopted by fossil-fuelled power stations, waste incinerators and steel plants around the globe for removing pollutants from flue gases.
