SMEC Foundation Overview

The SMEC Foundation was established in 2001 to provide small-scale grant support to community groups and development projects in Australia and overseas. Through this work, the SMEC Foundation consolidates SMEC’s links with the communities in which it operates and in many cases these activities complement SMEC’s development projects. The SMEC Foundation aims to deliver the best possible social and development outcomes for communities and individuals. Principal areas of focus include: Health, Education, Environment, Community Development and Emergency Relief.The SMEC Foundation’s philosophy is that a small amount of money, spent wisely, can produce far-reaching social and economic benefits. The SMEC Foundation operates with financial support from the SMEC Group of Companies as well as donations from employees. The SMEC Foundation is registered as a Private Ancillary Fund by the Australian Taxation Office.
