Quick and safe construction of blind shafts down to a depth of 1,000 meters
________________ The Shaft Boring Roadheader (SBR) was developed for the mechanized of blind shafts in soft to medium-hard rock. In contrast to the Shaft Boring Machine (SBM) with an installed hard rock, the SBR has been equipped with a roadheader boom and a rotating cutting drum. This allows the cutting of variable shaft diameters from 8 to 12 meters. Based on the proven technology of the Herrenknecht Shaft Sinking Machines (VSM), the new development offers higher occupational safety compared to conventional processes and, at the same time, high performances.
