Igniting Creative Energy Challenge
Celebrating 12 years of award-winning energy savings by students!
Since 2002, students across North America in kindergarten through 12th grade have competed in the . Over 15,000 entries have shared innovative ways to make a difference in energy conservation and the environment.
Celebrate 12 years of creative and talented students and welcome this year’s three winners – three who can imagine and create and who will make a positive difference through environmental and energy conservation.
Anirudh Anandula won in the Elementary Division prize for his lively, colorful artwork. “Water is needed for all the living beings on this earth,” he says, “so we as human beings should save every drop to make every life on earth smile.”
Justin Heaton won in the Middle School Division for his Micro-Power plant, which uses the pressurized water flowing from a municipal water tower to spin turbines and create electricity – inspired by a family trip to Hoover Dam last summer.
