¿What is Certification?

Certification is the procedure by which an independent third party other than a producer and the buyer gives a written assurance that a product, process or service fulfills specified requirements, making it the most valuable activity in national and international commercial transactions. It is an irreplaceable toll when building trust between customer-supplier relationships. A certification system is one that has its own rules, procedures and directions to carrying out conformity certification. This system should be objective, reliable, accepted by all parts, effective, operational, and be managed in a fair and honest way. Its primary and essential goal is to provide the criteria to ensure the buyer that the product purchased meets the agreed requirements. Certification system should have the following elements.

• Rules and / or regulations.• Accredited Laboratories.• An accredited certification organism.
