About Alex Pryor

Alex is a social entrepreneur with a goal of restoring 200,000 acres of Atlantic Forest by producing the South American tea, yerba mate.

Founder of Guayaki and rarely found without a gourd of mate tea in his hand, Alex is an embassador for this drink from his native Argentina, promoting initiatives around business, the environment and local communities. His start up, birn out of a project he began at the niversity of California, now has operations in Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay, and aims to create more than one thousand jobs by 2020.
