ENVIRONMENTAL INVESTMENTS

Ruukki continuously monitors the emissions arising from its operations both at production sites and in their vicinity to ensure compliance with emissions limits and to improve environmental performance. In 2013, Ruukki spent a total of €23 million (2012: 15) on environmental investments.The Raahe Works in Finland is the most significant unit in terms of environmental impacts and, in 2013, accounted for around 90% (2012: 94) of Ruukki’s total environmental investments. Around 98% of Ruukki’s carbon dioxide emissions originate from Raahe.
