Relincho Project

The Relincho project is located in central Chile, approximately 110 kilometres east of the port city of Huasco at an altitude of 2,200 metres. It is close to coastal infrastructure and a local workforce.

In 2008, Teck acquired full ownership of the project, which consists of 3.2 million tonnes of contained copper in indicated resource.

The feasibility study for Relincho was completed at the end of the fourth quarter of 2013. Based on the feasibility study, production at Relincho would average 207,000 tonnes per year of copper and 5,100 tonnes per year of molybdenum over a 21 year mine life, with higher production in the first five years.

In 2015, we will continue to work on optimization studies that will focus on capital and operating cost reductions and explore other ways of enhance the value of the project.
