Canals, tunnels and water pipelines are essential to water delivery. Often these engineered systems are also used for water diversion as well. Water sources are often many miles from population centers and industry and often pumping stations are needed to supplement gravity conveyance. Our engineers routinely conduct studies to conceptualize and design water conveyance infrastructure. When pumping systems are required, we optimize power consumption and improve overall hydraulics to reduce headloss. We prepare technical specifications and requirements for flow control, monitoring and pumping systems.

Today construction delivery is often design-build and Knight Piésold can prepare the needed tender documents and help owner’s to select qualified design-build (EPC) contractors. We support owners with contract management, and inspection and QA/QC services.
