Electric Vehicles

Electric vehicles are powered entirely by an electric motor with a high-voltage, high capacity battery. By replacing a gasoline engine with an electric motor, the vehicle delivers 100 percent fuel saving and carbon emission reductions when compared to an internal combustion engine vehicle.

However, electric vehicles have some trade-offs. They require drivers to change their behavior and plug in the vehicle in order to charge it and maintain its driving range. In addition, cold weather performance and “range anxiety” limit the appeal of the vehicle to some consumers.
