Acquisition reinforces and increases the company’s backoffice solutions

São Paulo, March 19, 2014 – TIVIT, a leading provider of integrated Technology services, has just acquired the Work Image (WI) Group, specialized in electronic document management. This acquisition is part of its strategy of growing in three fronts: increasing and reinforcing the backoffice service portfolio; incorporating a different system for the electronic document management and, finally, the company’s expansion to regions in Brazil that have potential for new businesses, such as Porto Alegre (in Rio Grande do Sul state).

Incorporating The Work Image Group, formed by Work Image and Work File firms, brings 600 new clients and more than 400 employees. The group’s seven units will be maintained in order to not disrupt services.

As it has a wide portfolio in Technology services, going from the Infrastructure and Applications Management, up until Business Processes Management, this acquisition brings a strong cross sell business potential. “We identified many aspects where the two firms complement each other in this acquisition. It is increasingly more interesting for TIVIT to adopt a cross sell strategy, and we understand that WI’s current clients may benefit from TIVIT’s wide range of Technology services. On the other hand, our clients will have an excellent portfolio of document management solutions,” said André Frederico, TIVIT’s Head of Corporate Development.

The document management services include organizing, preparing and scanning documents, up until making the digital file available in the internet and will continue in the market under the brand TIVIT Work Image. More than 50 million documents are managed, including 500 thousand Human Resources cards. In 2014, the expectation is that the offer of document management reaches a gross revenue of R$ 30 million.

The Brazilian Document Management Association (ABGD) estimates that typically active files grow in the proportion of 25% each year, and their management has a significant impact in the cost generation for a company. The managers can lose up to four weeks every year looking for information, due to improper storage or lack of organization of their files in the proper places.

Document scanning is an irreversible trend in the market, due to factors such as the need to reduce physical space used to store paper, the importance of having more control over business information and the possibility of having an intelligent data search engine that may offer a better support to the decision making process for the company’s managers.
